From The Greenfield Argus September 4, 1908 Mrs. Nancy Stinnett, who has been a sufferer the past year from the effects of cancer of the stomach, died at her home here Sunday at 9 o'clock a.m. She was bom here over seventy years ago and has lived in this locality all her life. Her maiden name was Maben-Y. One brother, Alex lives at this place, and William and James live in the vicinity of Carlinville. Six children survive: Frank and Thomas, of this place, Mrs. Alice Muzebrock of Kampsville, Mrs. Fannie Herron, of Gillespie, Mrs. Annie wwattrip of Wrights, Mrs. Mary Thompson of White Hall, all of whom were present at her funeral and burial. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday and conducted by Eld. Z. A. Edwards of Gillespie, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Rhoades cemetery east of town. She was not a memeber of any church. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of all.
